Application Instructions
Youth Crime Watch of America is accepting applications for our Next Generation Board (“NGB”), formerly known as our Youth Advisory Board. We are looking for exceptional leaders who are currently involved in YCW programs to serve one year terms starting in July 2010.
This Board will be comprised of five to nine youth (up to age 22) from across the YCW International system. The NGB represents the youth perspective within the entire YCW network and will be charged with several strategic projects, including recommendations on marketing and outreach to youth. Additionally, the Chair of the NGB will sit on the YCWA Board of Directors and will have the opportunity to interact with community and business leaders as well as the YCWA President & CEO.
The group will meet in person two times per year in the United States and multiple times via teleconference. Full attendance is required. Some travel subsidies are available but please note that a good part of the travel related costs will need to be borne by the NGB member or the local YCW Affiliate and it is encouraged that applicants seek sponsorship for these amounts.
