Training of Trainers

Advanced training for selected Youth Crime Watchers (youth and adult) who want to join YCWA's official training team.

 

Purpose: to learn how to train youth and adults in your area to implement this vital youth-led program.

Curriculum Components:

  • Conducting Trainings for Establishing and Maintaining Vibrant Youth/Adult Partnerships and Youth-led Prevention Programs
  • Step-by-step Techniques on Developing YCW
  • Techniques, Procedures, and Challenges in Implementing CrimeReporting and Youth Patrols
  • Materials and Resources Needed to Implement the Youth Crime Watch Program
  • Trainers' "Tricks of the Trade," including Techniques for Diverse Audiences and the Use of Technology

Length: Two or Three Days

Participants:

  • Local program advisors
  • School resource officers
  • YCW professional trainers and consultants
