YCWA trainer Terry Allen Jones travelled to Anguilla to undertake training of the 41 founding members of the Youth Crime Watch of Anguilla program. Starting with two sites: one at a school and one in the community, group leaders hope to ultimately bring Youth Crime Watch to all 18 villages on this island nation, a British dependancy in the Caribbean.
The three-day training event sparked radio and newspaper coverage and the island of Saint Marten has already expressed interest in having the same training next year.
Anguilla's core group of 13 has two meetings under its belt and already has officers in place.
We are confident that the Anguilla program will continue on this promising path in the near future. The international office is at your disposal as you get started. Good luck, Anguilla!
