May 2007: Youth Crime Watch starts spreading the word in Nepal schools
The Youth Crime Watch concept is spreading in Nepal. Thanks to the efforts of Monk Bikkhu Bodhananda and his colleagues, children in Nepal's secondary schools are learning how they can join the fight against drug abuse and violence and build a more peaceful community. On the occasion of Buddha's 2551st birthday, Monk Bodhananda carried the message as part of a program organized by the schools. The presentation was made even more interesting at one school, where it lasted for a good three hours, by the participation of victims of drug abuse.
